Monthly Wrap-up: May 2021

My best reading month so far.

May seemed to go on forever, but I’m still surprised that I managed to read almost 30 books this month! Of course, I am unemployed, and most of these are romance novels, which are fast-paced and easy to get through in a day, but still! Unfortunately, I didn’t write as many book reviews as I wanted to this month, but it’s also a good thing because I’ve started writing stories again, so all of my energy has been going towards that. I love writing reviews, but creative writing is my main passion. It felt so good to get back into the saddle again after four years of writer’s block.

But I’m going to try and get a balance going between writing stories and writing reviews, so we’ll see how that goes. Especially because June is going to be a busy month for me. I’m having surgery this Friday, and while it’s a routine, minor operation it will still take me a month to recover, which should leave plenty of time for reading. Hopefully I’ll feel good enough to work some more on my stories and get some reviews up. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for reading!
